Axford Explorers are an active group of young people in Thatcham and the surrounding villages. We met on a weekly basis and take part is wide range of activities. We have a varied programme each week including adventurous activities, games and socials. We run the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme so that you can get recognition for your achievements, which includes the opportunity to act as a young leader volunteering to help with one of the younger sections in the Scout Association. | | The unit is collecting used printer inkjet cartridges for recycling as a new means of raising funds. Nearly all Inkjet cartridges can be recycled just pass them on to a member of the unit or use one of the Axford freepost bags to send them in. The money will be used to buy equipment to help us further improve the Explorer Scouting Experience for young people in the Thatcham Area! Please contact us (
